Bring plenty of cash, as many places to not accept credit cards. Traveler's checks are difficult and expensive to cash. Crime is very low in Panama.
If you are only going to be here for a few days we recommend that you make an advance appointment with us, as the real estate market is very busy. We want to be able to guarantee you the time you need to find the perfect property.
Rainy season is June through November. Regardless of when you come, we recommend that you bring rain gear, boots (or footwear that you don’t mind getting wet and/or muddy), long pants, hat and sunscreen.
We are an independent real estate company, meaning that we do not own, nor do we have a financial interest, in any of the properties we list. We are not a tour company and unfortunately we only have time to show properties to serious buyers, therefore we ask that you pay the boat and taxi fees (if applicable) and you will receive a refund when you buy one of our properties. This is standard procedure for all independent real estate companies in Panama. Boat costs can range from $50 - $150 (gasoline is expensive here) depending upon how many properties you want to see and how far away they are located. Thank you for your understanding.
